Meet Dr Smruti Nashi
Dr Smruti Nashi was introduced to dentistry by working in the office of an orthodontist-her mother. As a child, she would watch her mom with her patients, and later learned how to work in the lab. Her interest in dentistry grew, and she decided to pursue it as a career.
Dr Nashi graduated from R.G. University of Health Sciences in India in 2003. She relocated to Australia in 2006 and sat for the Australian Dental Council exams in 2007. Practicing now for 14 years, Dr Nashi enjoys her work and the benefits she’s able to provide for her patients.
Working in both public and private dental practices in Lilydale, Brunswick, Frankston, Carrum Downs and Berwick has allowed Dr Nashi to treat a broad spectrum of issues. Using her skills to help her patients was gratifying and increased her ability to resolve their problems satisfactorily.
Passion for Dentistry
Dr Nashi’s passion for dentistry is evidenced by the high quality of her work. She strives for perfection in all she does to make sure every patient is happy with the result. Her open, friendly and gentle approach keeps her patients coming back over the years.
She especially loves working with children, but some can be apprehensive at first. She makes balloon animals to ease their fears. “The Balloon Lady” also rewards them for good tooth brushing habits!
While restorative and cosmetic dentistry are of particular interest to Dr Nashi, all her work leaves her fulfilled knowing that, at the end of the day, she’s done something good for her patients.

Outside the Practice
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr Nashi enjoys spending time with her son, Advai and husband, Birju. They enjoy sampling different cuisines, biking and traveling.
